OCR AND ICR
OCR AND ICR
SAGE is a platform for optimizing the learning of computers and people. It includes NLU, Text recognition and ATS (automatic simplification of texts, automatic translation into a variety of languages and machine language, individual adjustment of the language, selection of appropriate vocabulary and wording of short sentences in simple linguistic and conceptual language, clear, unambiguous and easy to understand for people and computers). Computers learn to read and understand (humanly) documents, data, content and images.
SAGE includes the most advanced and accurate technology for automatic text recognition : OCR, ICR (handwriting recognition) , Image Recognition, Data Capture, text and image analysis and Screens Reader . SAGE runs machine learning, Artificial Intelligence and semantic search engines on the fly. SAGE learns to read and understand images, handwriting and text , allowing it to automate any process. SAGE automatically recognizes and captures text from computer screens, converts images to text with high-speed and high-quality.
SAGE is changing the game. Manual data entry is quickly becoming outdated. SAGE reduces time and costs, while increasing accuracy and productivity. It recognizes text from any document or image and solves the manual data entry chore required for capturing data from documents. The output is highly accurate. It is also used in pattern recognition and computerized typesetting. SAGE imitates intelligent human behavior, utilizing artificial neural networks and recognizes the underlying relationships in sets of data that mimic the way the human mind operates. Invoices have a very high variability. Billions of invoices are issued each year in America and Europe alone. To extract data from all of these invoices, it would either require endless manual data entry tasks, or an insane amount of time spent setting up rules and templates for each field, varying for each vendor (as with others OCR). SAGE learns to work for all business documents as well, and does not require the same set up of rules or templates, working from day 1. SAGE is highly accurate and adapts to all kinds of layouts . SAGE is the most accurate OCR. In practice, users can just go ahead and extract data from invoices using SAGE without any code. And best of all, using ML , the accuracy only gets better.
SAGE automatically recognizes the type of images to be processed and chooses the most appropriate analyzing and recognition technology using recognition rules, keywords, advanced color-processing capabilities, artificial intelligent and sophisticated learning algorithms. Because of its ability to “learn,” SAGE learns to recognize new and previously unseen images and documents, thus efficiency improves over time. SAGE automatically verifies and completes images and fields and unrecognized images and data, with the help of search engines , data dictionaries, recognition rules and enterprise content, to obtain the highest level of accuracy. SAGE is the only engine that can analyze and understand images, sentences and paragraphs.
SAGE enables automatic data extraction from images, semi-structured forms and documents. It contains two types of elements: simple elements (e.g. static text, separator, white gap, barcode, character string, text fragment, object collection and date) and compound elements joined by AND. SAGE pre-recognition process automatically detects objects such as pictures, text, separators, barcodes, inverted text, square checkmarks . SAGE has properties, which describe the geometrical position and relationship between elements of the images. Such description is visualized, so the user may set properties in graphic dialogs and controls. When SAGE is mapping the image, it formulates a series of assumptions about the detected objects corresponding to the elements, for all the created elements. The assumptions are ranked by their quality .The program estimates how well the detected object matches the description contained in SAGE and penalizes poor matches. The assumptions are arranged in a tree-like structure, mapping out the relationships between SAGE elements and possible assumptions. When matching the recognition rules with images, the program selects the best branch in the tree of assumptions, which includes all the described elements, from first to last. This provides a visual of the structure for the users allowing them to see how the program selects the best match and adjusts SAGE to achieve the matching.
Some objects can be specified as optional. For example, if SAGE does not find an optional object, instead of assuming that the image cannot be matched, the program will advance a null hypothesis and assume that there is no such object on the image. If an element is not optional, it can be used as an identifier of the type of image . This allows SAGE to choose automatically the best template from the variety of templates available in the batch in case of multi-type images processing.
SAGE provide a wide range of options for export of recognition results, including different levels of image reconstruction: A set of different levels of pictures and text format retention during export to external formats (from simple text with no formatting to complete page layout retention, including columns, tables, frames, fonts, font size, paragraph styles, borders, etc.) ; Provide access to detailed information about each recognized character; A set of functions to post-editing and post-formatting of the recognized image before it’s exporting ; Export recognized text into XML formats; Retaining full-page layout of documents; Replace certain characters with their corresponding images when saving in PDF format ; Retain picture and text color in full.
SAGE supports OCR, 1D barcodes, 2D barcodes, Image, logo, handwriting and free text recognition and analyzing. SAGE enables automatic finding and recognizing barcodes at any angle on a document, both for 1D and 2D barcodes. SAGE is the ideal solution for data entry on cellular handsets, touch screens, tablets, smart boards, touch pads, digital pens, and other devices that deliver electronic ink. Composing SMS messages or surfing the Internet is far easier using SAGE and digital pens than any other available method. Users do not need to learn a special set of characters, and no user training is required. They can write anywhere on the screen in their own handwriting.
SAGE enables users to “write” digitally (using a finger, a stylus,a mouse or another input device), record this digital ink, convert it to meaningful information (text, shapes, mathematical expressions), search, edit , share and sign . SAGE enables natural, intuitive human-machine interfaces , recognizes text in a variety of ways and adapts to users’ unique style and preferences. SAGE is suited for highly structured data capture (such as digital forms), and free-format handwriting—including a mix of text, shapes, mathematical expressions. SAGE supports recognition of all Windows languages. It automatically indexes handwritten text to make it easily searchable ; Learn individual users’ unique writing style and habits for faster and reliable interpretation; Analyze handwriting in real time and suggest options to complete a word or phrase and accurately analyze pages containing a mix of handwritten shapes, diagrams and text.
SAGE enables full and original signature on online and mobile documents (finger, mouse, pen) for all types of applications and clearing.
SAGE analyzes and identifies a wide variety of shapes, such as circles, lines, arrows, parallelograms, and triangles. This creates vast possibilities for real-world applications, from simple (standardizing geometric drawings) to highly sophisticated and specialized (creating digital diagrams, geometry education, programming connected equipment, enhancing graphic design tools).
SAGE allows users to capture and use handwritten notes on a touchscreen device, enabling advanced document management functionality: Create and store digital notes on computers ; Search handwritten notes as easily as digital text documents; Convert text, math equations, and diagrams to digital information ; Support communication and collaboration with seamless document sharing.
